Please take an opportunity to view the funeral invitation for Internet Explorer 6. Aten Design Group is hosting a "funeral" for the developer-hated browser at 7pm on March 4th, 2010. These guys are taking it so serious that more than 100 individuals are actually going to dress in black and are going to eulogize about the incredibly frustrating past times spent hacking well-written code to perform on the non-standards-compliant web browser. Take a look at some of the hilarious comments left by those who chose to leave "memories" of the browser. We're with the rest of the web design and development world in saying good riddance! (even though we'll all reluctantly admit that we will still have to destroy our well-written code to work in IE6 as it's still proven to be a widely used browser (we have no idea why)). Text

Okay, so I couldn't resist. My Adobe CS4 software has been running shaky (at best) on Mac OSX 10.4. I guess six years out of my ole' iMac is going to have to do it. I can't complain though, it's rare that you get that kind of life out of a computer in a production environment (or any environment for that matter, especially PC!) . Though nobody enjoys the expenses of doing business, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't pumped to get the new machine! I decided on the new 27-inch iMac and I loaded her up with all of the goodies - I like to make sure I don't have to replace the machine for another 5 or 6 years! Text

Check out the Helvetica or Arial quiz here! I scored 19 out of 20. “BASF” was the one that threw me off. I won’t lie though, “MATTEL” was just a lucky guess! Big thanks to SimpleBits for the link! How did you do? Which ones did you struggle with? We want to hear about it! Text

My wife and I were so inspired by our recent honeymoon in Hawaii that we decided to make our annual contribution, for our One Percent for the Planet membership, to two non-profit organizations in Hawaii. Text

There have been many resources that discuss the complex nature of the status of designers having the opportunity to use more than just the standard web fonts. To give a brief review, here are some of the issues at hand: Text
